Raw-Khaf in the creative process.

I want to share a very important key in prophetic art. Take a look at this verse, Genesis 1: 2 - The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Notice the word "moving," this is the Hebrew word (raw-khaf) The short definition is: relax, to grow soft. flutter, move, shake A primitive root; to brood; by implication, to be relaxed -- flutter, move, shake. It is very important to take note that the Spirit of Elohim was relaxed, in a relaxed state, fluttering, broading, shaking over the surface of the waters. When we are engaged in creativity we need to remain relaxed and not anxious, in a hurry. I was recently doing an illustration called the Burning Ones and it was turning out really good. I put the drawing down for a couple of days and then happened to pick it up again. This was the day I was going to go to a surprise party. I thought the finished illustration would be a perfect gift. So I went ahead and kept drawing eventually I came to a stop. I thought it was finished but throughout the time I was drawing I felt an uneasiness because I was rushing to get it done. Later as I stared more at the illustration at the party I saw even more how incomplete and off it was. I knew I left keeping in step with the Spirit and took off on my own and saw this in the illustration. I went back to the drawing board later and took my time working where I left off and this time in no rush, but I was relaxed and enjoying what I was doing. I finally felt a sense of satisfaction when I got to a stopping point and it turned out way better than what I even expected.
The Spirit of Elohim is never in a rush, anxious and as we co-create with him we will be yoked to this state of relaxation that characterizes the creative process with God. We need to stay in peace, to be relaxed as we hover, brood, flutter together bringing forth what we create.
