A Place for Prophetic Artists to Network and Encourage One Another
When I started working on this painting I was stirred up by this Verse:
“And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing.” – 1. Kings 19:11-12 (NASB)
I find it fascinating that Elijah heard God’s voice in the “gentle blowing”. How comes God wasn’t in all the super loud, attention grabbing, majestic appearances?
Many believers pray to God every day that He may speak to them and are disappointed when nothing seems to happen. No fiery hand appears and writes on the wall, no thunder, earthquake or angel’s trumpet make known the Lord’s will. I believe God always wants to speak to us, He has all the solutions and wants to guide us. So why do so many Christians still not hear him? I believe there’s several reasons...
